We hire for purpose
Many employers say they have a great cause, offer meaningful work and talk about their purpose. We continuously bring together the world’s best talent to work for our mission of saving lives.
We have accomplished a lot over the last 9 months. We now support the treatment of patients suffering from all major cancer types. More than 20 cancer care professionals, 4 designers, and 10 software engineers worked hard to accomplish this. Our ambitious goal has been to customize all symptom forms, questionnaires, and clinical rules, enabling us to address the needs of patients suffering from all types of cancer and undergoing all available treatments. While doing this, we have reprogrammed hundreds of clinical rules, and these rules can now automatically recognize severe symptoms earlier than ever before. We have invested massively in these developments, creating a strong competitive advantage for Noona.
”We are extremely proud of the result. Feedback from health care professionals and patients has been excellent. For example, it is hugely important that Noona can differentiate between of symptoms caused by chemotherapy and new immunological treatments in different cancer types. In one case, diarrhea can be life-threatening, in another merely an annoyance. By conservative estimate, it has required 10,000 hours of work from Noona developers and medical professionals to develop the specific treatment modules. And this work will pay off. It is crucial to understand how unique each cancer type is”, says Pasi Heiskanen, COO of Noona responsible for product development.
