Noona has attracted wide interest among Indian cancer hospitals. We will participate the TechEmergeevent in Delhi in June, to evaluate collaboration opportunities with a number of local hospitals and cancer clinics. TechEmerge is an IFC initiative, a member of the World Bank Group, with a mission to facilitate the adoption of leading digital health care innovations in emerging markets. The inaugural program will connect innovators globally to healthcare providers in India to accomplish the dual goals of improving healthcare delivery and patient outcomes. Noona was invited to the event out of 400 candidate companies, selected by local hospital representatives and Health 2.0 initiative.
”Ever since the founding of our company, it has been our dream of ours to take part in offering frugal healthcare solutions for emerging markets. An increasing share of people in emerging markets manage their lives using smartphones and mobile networks cover most corners of the world. Looking at emerging markets, we now witness something completely different from what we had here some twenty years ago, when digitization of healthcare started in the developed world. Traditionally emerging markets have learned from us, but – especially within healthcare – we are witnessing more and more examples where it is the other way around. We should all be very interested in how innovation happens in places where resources are scarce and infrastructures less developed”, says Jani Ahonala, CEO of Noona.
